Boxing Day

A quiet day to day.

Brunch at the TODaughter's with TOSonInLaw, TOGrandson, TOAmStaff, other TODaughter, TOFiance, TOGreatgrandma, and country TOSister, plus the TOGs.

Pancakes, fried ham, and the family traditional Boxing Day meal, a French version (by TOSonInLaw who is French) of "Piggies in Blankets". Our family variant of which is chunks of leftover leg ham, floured, then dipped in a batter, then shallow fried. TOSonInLaw was trying to emulate the Dagwood Dog battered Sav' version of batter and did a brilliant job, it was an awesome meal.

After watching a bit of the Test Match we decided to return home and leave the new parents to have a bit of time out RnR.

More cricket watching, a few beers, then Melbourne Fish 'n' Chips for dinner. Melbourne has the best Fish 'n' Chips. Battered Flake, Potato Cakes (aka scallops), Calamari, and chunky double cooked chips.

And now settling into some Big Bash League watching which we now understand better after TOFiance explained the ins and outs of the rules to us. The TOGs are not big sports watchers so even though we know the basics of cricket (Tests, One Dayers etc.), we have never watched BBL before. It is good to watch, but not that much that we would watch it regularly.
