BNE to MEL

Well what a start to our Xmas, meet the TOGrandson holiday.

We got to the airport early thinking there would be excessive traffic. Lucky there wasn't because I realised (i.e. TOGuy) that I had left my phone at home. Now given we were flying domestically I would not have worried under normal circumstances. We already had a spare phone. But why do we have a spare phone? Its Covid times, the spare phone is for TOGirl to have her personal Covid-19 related requirements so they are not on a corporate phone. SO I really needed my phone, as it has all of my electronic/digital records.

Phone call to youngest TODaughter, no answer, left a message to call back urgently. Then called our friends who dropped us at the airport, no answer. Both reasons because its an unknown number calling. Then TODaughter calls back. Explained the situation, she jumps out of bed, races to our place, grabs the phone (and my lucky traveling hat I also forgot) and races to the airport. I get the phone and hat, back into the terminal, and the security line is mad long. But I am disabled, using a wheelie walker so its straight to the front for me, sometimes being disabled has advantages.

Through security, luckily the gate is right at the top where the lift opened, and I board with minutes to spare. Phew. Would not be a normal TOG holiday without a little drama.

Uneventful flight, picked up by best friends at the airport and too our accommodation.

Then it was Grandson. But first of all there was a surprise TOGreatGrandmother came down as a surprise to see our eldest TODaughter or her TOGrandDaughter and her TOGreatGrandson, our TOGrandson.

The video in the album speaks volumes.

Lots of TOGrandSon cuddling was had before we went out for our besties' daughters 7th birthday dinner at Abruzzo on Lygon Street.

A great first day with our first grandchild.
